Los Angeles Lakers guards Luka Doncic and Austin Reaves are both listed as questionable for the upcoming game against the Washington Wizards in Washington. Reaves has been upgraded from out to questionable following a left calf strain that has kept him sidelined since Christmas Day, marking 17 games missed. This season, he has been having a breakthrough performance, averaging 26.6 points, 6.3 assists, and 5.2 rebounds across 23 games, while shooting an impressive 50.7% from the floor and 36.5% from beyond the arc.

Meanwhile, Doncic is also dealing with an injury, suffering from left ankle soreness after a troublesome fall during Wednesday night’s game against the Cleveland Cavaliers. He momentarily left the game after the incident, which occurred while he attempted a fadeaway three-pointer in the first quarter. Despite being in visible discomfort, Doncic returned to play and managed to score 29 points, along with six assists and five rebounds. He currently leads the NBA with an average of 33.6 points per game and ranks third in assists with 8.7.

Reflecting on his injury in Cleveland, Doncic admitted to feeling concern but expressed relief after reviewing the footage of the fall. “I kind of got scared,” he stated to reporters. “It wasn’t a great feeling and looking back at the video, I think I got a little bit lucky. It hurts obviously more now, but, just, I tried to go.”

As the Lakers prepare for their matchup against the Wizards, the health of both players will be crucial to their performance. With potential returns from injury, fans can remain hopeful for a strong showing from the team.
