Lainey Wilson’s Musical Journey: Unveiling an Iconic Cover EP

Lainey Wilson has unveiled her latest musical project, the Apple Music Sessions EP, which was recorded in London. This new collection showcases her unique interpretations of iconic songs, including The Beatles’ timeless hit, “Come Together,” Lewis Capaldi’s emotional ballad, “Someone You Loved,” and a fresh take on her own track, “Devil Don’t Go There,” from her album Whirlwind.

Wilson has shared that her decision to cover The Beatles stemmed from a memorable recording session at Abbey Road while she was in London. She expressed her awe for the legendary group’s profound influence on various music genres, stating, “Just trying to wrap your head around how influential The Beatles really are and what they have done to every single genre.”

Additionally, Wilson found inspiration for her Capaldi cover after watching the documentary “How I’m Feeling Now,” which highlights the Scottish artist’s creative process. “He fights for that creativity, which I love,” Wilson remarked, showcasing her admiration for Capaldi’s dedication to his craft.

The EP was released for streaming on Tuesday, June 24, allowing fans to experience Wilson’s interpretations and celebrate the artists that have shaped her sound. This release not only reflects her musical journey but also pays tribute to the artists who have inspired her along the way. With the blending of Whitty Wilson’s unique style and these well-loved songs, the EP promises to resonate with music lovers everywhere.

This project is a testament to the enduring legacy of great music and the connections artists continue to forge through their influences.
