Ladd McConkey Poised for Week 13 Breakout with Chargers vs. Raiders

Ladd McConkey and the Los Angeles Chargers are gearing up for an exciting matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders this Sunday at 4:25 p.m. ET, following their bye week. The talented wide receiver had an impressive rookie season, recording 82 receptions for 1,149 yards and seven touchdowns. Although his production has dipped slightly in his second year, McConkey has shown signs of resurgence. Prior to the bye, he totaled three catches for 13 yards, but before that, he tallied 30 receptions for 418 yards and three touchdowns across a five-week stretch.

With an extra week to prepare for a Raiders defensive unit that has struggled against the pass, FanDuel Sportsbook has set McConkey’s over/under for receiving yards at 51.5. According to the SportsLine Projection Model, he is projected to average 63 receiving yards, making him a key component in a wide receiver-oriented parlay being promoted for NFL Week 13.

The predictive model, which runs 10,000 simulations for each game, boasts impressive returns, showing over $7,000 gained for $100 players on top-rated NFL picks since its launch. Currently, it stands with a strong 49-33 record on those picks dating back to 2024. This positions those who follow its betting suggestions on sportsbooks to potentially see solid returns.

In addition to McConkey’s outlook, the model highlights two other betting picks for Week 13. Michael Pittman Jr. of the Indianapolis Colts is projected to go over 43.5 receiving yards against the Houston Texans, a matchup where he’s averaged 47.5 yards in his career. Jaylen Waddle from the Miami Dolphins is projected to go under 73.5 receiving yards as he navigates a challenging season with inconsistent offensive production.

As for McConkey, even with the return of fellow receiver Keenan Allen, he has managed to surpass the 51.5 receiving yard mark in six of 11 games this season. Additionally, he has recorded at least 56 yards in five of his last six games. The Raiders’ defense has allowed multiple receivers to exceed this threshold recently, setting McConkey up for a promising performance.

The outlook for McConkey and the Chargers as they face the Raiders this Sunday is certainly optimistic, as they look to capitalize on their bye week and improve their standing in the league.
