Amit Kumar, the owner of Labasa’s inaugural band group, Meeth Band, is gearing up for a vibrant performance at the Mirchi FM & Radio Fiji Two “Rewa” Diwali Dhoom this Saturday at Damodar City, Labasa. Kumar expressed his enthusiasm, stating that the band members are both excited and confident to deliver an energetic mix of music that promises to entertain the audience.
Kumar noted the success of last year’s Diwali fair and anticipates a similar energetic atmosphere this year. He encourages members of the community to attend and participate in the festivities. “We are coming with our full band, and all the members are very confident that this year we will make a lot of noise at the Diwali fair,” he said. The performance will feature a range of musical styles, beginning with kirtan bhajans, followed by more bhajans and ghazals. In addition to these, the band will also perform Bollywood Sufi qawwali and popular Bollywood songs, catering to diverse musical tastes.
Kumar emphasized that their performance aims to appeal to a wide audience from different backgrounds, promising inclusivity and entertainment for all.
