Amit Kumar, the owner of Labasa’s first-ever band, Meeth Band, is preparing for an exciting performance at the Mirchi FM & Radio Fiji Two “Rewa” Diwali Dhoom, set to take place this Saturday at Damodar City, Labasa. Kumar shared his excitement, expressing confidence in his band’s ability to deliver an energetic musical experience that will delight the audience.
Reflecting on the success of last year’s Diwali fair, Kumar is optimistic about recreating that vibrant atmosphere this year. He invites the community to join in the festivities, stating, “We are coming with our full band, and all the members are very confident that this year we will make a lot of noise at the Diwali fair.” The performance will showcase a variety of musical genres, starting with kirtan bhajans and progressing to more bhajans and ghazals. The repertoire will also include Bollywood Sufi qawwali and popular songs from Bollywood, ensuring there is something for everyone.
