Biman Prasad, the leader of the National Federation Party (NFP), has expressed his sorrow following the death of Bhagwan Ji Bhindi, a former English teacher at Labasa College. In a heartfelt statement, Prasad reminisced about his time in Mr. Bhindi’s classroom when Amraiya Naidu served as the principal, highlighting Bhindi’s dedication and his commitment to teaching.

Prasad recalled the rigorous standards Mr. Bhindi set for his students, stating that he expected hard work and devoted significant time to ensure that they grasped their lessons. He expressed, “I am sure that many former students of Labasa College, both in Fiji and abroad, will join me in mourning his passing and recognizing his contributions to our lives.”
