The former professional dancer expressed her excitement in an Instagram post on October 8, sharing her enthusiasm for taking on a new role in the beloved competition series.
“I’m beyond excited to be heading back to the ballroom next Tuesday,” Herjavec captioned her post. “It’s such a privilege to return — this time on the other side of the dance floor, alongside the incredible judges.”
Having first joined Dancing With the Stars in Season 3, where she paired with the late Jerry Springer and finished in fifth place, Herjavec has a rich history with the show. She notably won her first Mirrorball Trophy in Season 9 alongside Donny Osmond, followed by her second victory in Season 12 with Hines Ward. After a successful run, she left the show in 2017, sharing that she still cherished the experience and the friendships formed through the years.
Reflecting on her time with the series, she stated, “I’ve got so much to thank ‘Dancing with the Stars’ for. I ended up meeting my husband on the show.” Although she officially stepped back in 2016, she has remained connected to the dance community. As she prepares for her return, Herjavec emphasized the enduring bond that the show creates, saying, “After 20 years, the magic is still alive (maybe stronger than ever) — DWTS truly is a family.”
