Max Greyserman struggled with a score of 5 over par on holes 14 to 16, placing him one stroke behind Aaron Rai at the Wyndham Championship.

Matt Kuchar experienced a unique and somewhat lonely conclusion to the tournament, which he returned to on Monday after deciding to finish his final round due to darkness on Sunday. He was the only player who did not complete his round that evening at Sedgefield Country Club in Greensboro, North Carolina.

Kuchar resumed play at 8 a.m. ET to tackle the 72nd hole. He managed to par the 18th hole, a 508-yard par-4, concluding the tournament in a tie for 12th place with a score of 11 under, which was seven strokes behind the winner, Aaron Rai from England.

On Sunday, Kuchar’s last tee shot had veered left, leaving him with 212 yards to the hole. Concerned about making the right decision but running out of light, he opted to complete his round the following morning. After receiving relief from a scoreboard near the green, Kuchar dropped onto the adjacent fairway but fell short of the green. His third shot hit the flagstick, resulting in a tap-in par that took him six minutes to finalize.

Kuchar expressed regret on Monday to the staff and tournament employees who had to return to the course for his final hole. “Nobody wants to be that guy that’s showing up today, one person, one hole,” he said. He acknowledged the inconvenience caused and extended his apologies to the tournament and everyone involved.

Despite the unusual ending, Kuchar finished tied for 12th place, earning a $135,000 payout. At 46 years old, he also climbed 10 spots to 103rd in the FedEx Cup playoffs, significantly improving his chances of finishing the season in the Top 125 and retaining his tour card for 2025.
