Kristen Bell has opened up about her experience working on the Netflix series “Nobody Wants This,” where she stars alongside Adam Brody. The actress portrays Joanne Williams, a host of a sex and dating podcast, and revealed that she faced challenges with her character throughout the first season.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Bell admitted to frequently questioning the direction of her character due to what she described as vague scripts. She struggled to connect emotionally with Joanne, saying, “I pushed back with constant questioning because I didn’t have the same hooks into the emotional math of my character that I’m used to having.”

Despite her initial frustrations, Bell’s perspective evolved after watching the complete series and observing the audience’s response. She expressed how the ambiguity in her character, which she initially found perplexing, is reflective of real-life complexities.
