Krispy Kreme is celebrating the 65th anniversary of the Barbie brand with the launch of four new Barbie-themed doughnuts. The announcement was made on Tuesday, highlighting how these special treats tie into the recent success of the Barbie live-action film.
The doughnuts include:
1. Barbie Pink Doughnut: An original glazed doughnut featuring pink buttercream, adorned with sparkly pink sugar and topped with a pair of Barbie sunglasses.
2. Malibu Dream Party Doughnut: An unglazed doughnut filled with Cake Batter Kreme, dipped in blue icing reminiscent of Malibu, and topped with graham sand and a piece of Barbie’s DreamHouse.
3. Barbie Berries ‘n Kreme Doughnut: An unglazed doughnut with a Strawberry Kreme filling, dipped in white icing, drizzled with both pink and purple buttercream, and topped with a heart shape that represents Barbie.
4. Barbie Sweet 65th Doughnut: An original glazed doughnut coated in chocolate icing and decorated with sprinkles celebrating Barbie’s 65th anniversary.
Dave Skena, Global Chief Brand Officer for Krispy Kreme, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, stating that it merges Barbie’s iconic style with delightful flavors, promising enjoyment for both Barbie and Krispy Kreme enthusiasts.
These limited-time doughnuts will be available at selected Krispy Kreme locations, and some grocery stores will also offer a 6-pack of the Barbie-themed treats. California hosts 40 Krispy Kreme outlets statewide.
