Sharvek Naidu has been appointed as the new Managing Partner of KPMG Fiji, effective January 1. He succeeds Lisa Apted, who has skillfully led the firm since 2020 and will continue her association as Partner for Business and Tax Advisory.
Naidu, who currently manages the Audit and Fiji Dynamix sectors, expressed his gratitude and excitement in accepting the new role, aiming to build on the firm’s successes. His career with KPMG began in 1997 at the Lautoka office, and he has since broadened his experience in Australia. With over 25 years of professional expertise across Fiji, the Pacific region, India, and Australia, he brings a wealth of knowledge and leadership to this pivotal position.
Naomi Mitchell, KPMG Australia’s National Managing Partner for Mid-Market & Private, lauded Naidu for his outstanding leadership capabilities and strategic contributions. She highlighted his pivotal role in establishing the Fiji-based FDX delivery centre, which has grown to employ around 200 staff members and provides vital support to KPMG Australia. Mitchell also recognized the remarkable growth during Apted’s leadership.
Previously, Naidu served as Director at KPMG Global Services in Delhi, where he was instrumental in launching an offshoring practice that hired more than 150 employees. He has conveyed heartfelt appreciation for his family’s support as he balances responsibilities across both Fiji and Australia.
In addition to his corporate roles, Naidu holds the position of President of the Fiji Institute of Chartered Accountants, demonstrating his dedication to industry excellence and community advancement. His leadership is poised to usher KPMG Fiji into a new chapter of growth, characterized by continuity and innovation while strengthening regional and international partnerships. This transition represents a promising opportunity for KPMG Fiji, further solidifying its role as a leading contender in the industry.
