Sharvek Naidu has been appointed as the new Managing Partner of KPMG Fiji, effective January 1. He will take over from Lisa Apted, who has successfully led the firm since 2020 and will remain on board as Partner for Business and Tax Advisory.

Naidu, who currently oversees Audit and Fiji Dynamix, expressed his honor in assuming the role and is eager to build upon the firm’s achievements. His journey with KPMG began in 1997 at the Lautoka office before he expanded his career in Australia. With over 25 years of professional experience across Fiji, the Pacific region, India, and Australia, he brings a wealth of knowledge to his new position.

Naomi Mitchell, KPMG Australia’s National Managing Partner for Mid-Market & Private, praised Naidu for his exceptional leadership and strategic input, particularly citing his role in establishing the Fiji-based FDX delivery centre, which now employs around 200 staff and supports KPMG Australia. She also acknowledged the significant growth led by Apted during her tenure.

Previously, Naidu held the position of Director at KPMG Global Services in Delhi, where he played a crucial role in setting up an offshoring practice that employed more than 150 staff. He expressed gratitude for his family’s support as he navigates responsibilities in both Fiji and Australia.

In addition to his professional roles, Naidu serves as the President of the Fiji Institute of Chartered Accountants, reflecting his commitment to industry standards and community development. His appointment is set to lead KPMG Fiji into a new era of growth, ensuring both continuity and innovation within the firm while enhancing regional and international collaborations. This new chapter is expected to provide fresh opportunities for KPMG Fiji, reinforcing its position as a key player in the industry.
