According to the Korea Meteorological Administration on the 25th, morning low temperatures on Monday, the 26th, will range from -15 to -2 degrees Celsius. The daytime highs are forecasted to be between -3 and 8 degrees, continuing a streak of colder-than-normal weather.
Cold air moving down from the north may result in wind chill values that feel even lower than the actual temperatures, prompting caution during morning commutes and outdoor activities.
Snow is also anticipated, particularly late in the afternoon, with possible flurries in Incheon and the southwestern part of Gyeonggi Province accumulating less than 0.1 cm. Overnight, rain or snow is expected along the western coast of South Chungcheong and Jeju Island, with less than 0.1 cm of snow likely in the inland areas of South Chungcheong beginning late at night.
The projected snowfall amounts from the 26th to 27th are around 1 cm for the five western islets, with less than 1 cm expected along the southwestern coast of South Chungcheong. On the 27th, 1 cm is anticipated in Gwangju and the western areas of Jeolla Province, as well as along the western and southern parts of Jeonbuk, while Ulleungdo, Dokdo, and the mountainous regions of Jeju could see between 1-5 cm.
Expected rainfall during the same period is approximately 1 mm for the five western islets and less than 1 mm for the southwestern coast of South Chungcheong, with similar amounts forecasted for Gwangju and the western regions of Jeolla Province, as well as the western and southern inland areas of Jeonbuk. Ulleungdo, Dokdo, and Jeju Island are likely to receive less than 5 mm of rain or snow.
