The rugby team’s recent training session showcased their commitment as the extended squad diligently worked on various set plays. Coach Kolinisau is currently in the process of selecting the final twelve players to represent the team at the highly anticipated Singapore 7s tournament, taking place from January 31 to February 1.

Following a break for the Christmas and New Year holidays, the team has resumed training, emphasizing the need for consistency in their preparation for the competition. Kolinisau reflected on their performance during the earlier legs of the series in Dubai and Cape Town, where he expressed disappointment with the results but remained hopeful about the future.

“We finished the year tied at the top with South Africa and New Zealand, which puts us in a strong position,” Kolinisau remarked. “Our objective is to win the series this year, and we have been putting in significant effort during our training sessions to make that happen.”

This dedication to improvement and comprehensive preparation underscores the team’s readiness to compete at a high level. As they look ahead to the Singapore 7s, the players are focused on honing their strategies and ensuring a consistent performance on the field. The upcoming tournament presents an exciting opportunity for the squad to leverage their past experiences and aim for a strong performance, fostering a sense of optimism within the team as they prepare for this crucial challenge.
