Kim Zolciak recently faced another significant financial setback as the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) filed a lien against her for $163,804.30 due to unpaid taxes spanning three years. The lien, reported by Us Weekly, was officially recorded on December 11 and specifies that Zolciak owes $104,009.82 for the year 2019, $24,471.87 for 2023, and $35,322.71 for 2024.

This marks the second lien placed on the “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star, who is already grappling with financial issues stemming from her separation from her estranged husband, Kroy Biermann. In April 2023, a federal tax lien was filed against both Zolciak and Biermann, revealing that they owed a staggering $1.1 million in taxes, interest, and penalties from various earlier years, including 2013, 2017, and 2018. They also carried an outstanding tax bill of $15,000 to the state of Georgia for 2018.

Alongside her tax troubles, Zolciak has been embroiled in additional financial disputes. In August, Saks Fifth Avenue and Capital One sued her for over $150,000 for unpaid credit card fees. Moreover, in October, a court ordered her and Biermann to pay over $230,000 to Simmons Bank due to a default on a home equity line of credit, and just recently, a Georgia judge ruled that she owed Target $2,482.24 for an unpaid bill.

As Zolciak navigates these difficult financial waters, she has also begun a new chapter in her personal life, dating entrepreneur Kyle Mowitz. Reports indicate that after learning of this relationship, Biermann allegedly warned Mowitz’s estranged wife, Jillian Green, that Zolciak may cause financial strain on him. During a deposition related to Mowitz and Green’s divorce, Green claimed Biermann expressed concerns about Zolciak’s character and financial habits.

Despite the hurdles she faces, Zolciak is attempting to move forward, focusing on rebuilding her life post-marriage with Biermann, from whom she finalized her divorce in 2023 after nearly 11 years together. They share four minor children, and Biermann also adopted Zolciak’s two older daughters from previous relationships. As this situation unfolds, many will be watching to see how Zolciak manages her financial and personal challenges in the coming months.
