Khloé Kardashian has recently shared her heartfelt commitment to caring for her ex-boyfriend Tristan Thompson’s brother, Amari, who is living with Lennox-Gastaut syndrome, a severe form of epilepsy. On the July 30 episode of her “Khloé in Wonder Land” podcast, the Good American cofounder revealed that she has taken on this role since the passing of Tristan’s mother, Andrea, in January 2023.
Andrea was Amari’s primary caregiver, and after her death, Khloé, along with Tristan and her family, brought him to the United States from Canada. Khloé mentioned that Amari, who cannot walk or talk, is now living with her in Los Angeles. Given Tristan’s NBA career and his frequent travels, Khloé emphasized the importance of Amari remaining in California where the environment is more suitable for his health.
Khloé has hired two dedicated caretakers to assist in providing the best life for Amari, stating, “We just want to provide Amari with the best, most beautiful life that we know how. And he deserves that.” Despite her separation from Tristan, Khloé highlighted her strong connection to Andrea, which motivated her to remain involved in Amari’s life regardless of her relationship status with Tristan.
They have a family dynamic that extends to their children, with Khloé noting the positive influence Amari has on her kids, True and Tatum, and the importance of fostering compassion and understanding in them. “I think it teaches everyone compassion, understanding,” she said, expressing her pride in having Amari as part of her family.
The bond that has developed between Khloé and Amari exemplifies the caring nature of families and the ways in which love can transcend relationships. Khloé’s dedication to Amari not only honors Andrea’s memory but also enriches the lives of everyone in her family.
