Known for his extensive filmography, Bacon shows no signs of slowing down, stating he is “more driven than ever” in his career. In a recent interview with People magazine, the actor expressed his passion for continuing to explore opportunities in acting, music, and songwriting.
Bacon first captured audiences in 1978’s National Lampoon’s Animal House, and became a household name with his lead role in the 1984 musical drama Footloose. With over 60 film credits to his name, he has delivered memorable performances in iconic films like JFK, A Few Good Men, Apollo 13, and Mystic River. Despite his impressive career, Bacon has yet to receive an Oscar nomination, a fact he reflected on last year, revealing he has only attended the Academy Awards once.
To date, he has won two Screen Actors Guild awards, one for Apollo 13 and another for the TV production Taking Chance, which also garnered him a Golden Globe.
