Kennesaw State Volleyball Opens C-USA Play at Middle Tennessee

Kennesaw State University’s volleyball team is gearing up to begin its Conference USA season this weekend with an away series against Middle Tennessee. The Owls, who have posted a 6-4 record following a successful non-conference schedule, are set to face the Blue Raiders, who also stand at the start of their conference play with a 7-4 record. The matches will be broadcast live on ESPN+, with the first game scheduled for Friday at 7 p.m. ET and the second on Saturday at 2 p.m. ET.

KSU’s current record includes three challenging losses to Power Four schools, highlighting their competitive run so far. In comparison, Middle Tennessee has encountered only one Power Four opponent, suffering a defeat. Despite these setbacks, Kennesaw State has had significant victories on the road, notably against Wichita State and Mercer, which underscore their readiness for the conference season.

The team is eager to build on last year’s development, aiming to overcome past difficulties with away matches by showcasing their improved skills and strategy. A strong performance against Middle Tennessee could bolster their confidence and standing as they aim for a top-four finish in the league, a goal set prior to the season’s commencement.

As they open their CUSA campaign, the Owls, buoyed by experience and high hopes, are poised to make a significant impact. Success in their upcoming matches against the Blue Raiders could reinforce their status as league contenders, setting a promising tone for the remainder of the season.
