Ahead of the event taking place at the Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, Texas, on May 8, Ballerini shared insights into her expectations for the night during an interview with Country Now. She is particularly excited about her red carpet attire, aiming for a timeless and classic look that will ensure memorable photos from this significant occasion. While the details of her dress remain under wraps, there’s a strong possibility her boyfriend, Chase Stokes, known for his roles in Outer Banks and Uglies, will be by her side.
On stage, Ballerini will perform “Baggage,” a fan-favorite from her fifth studio album, PATTERNS. This performance is particularly special for her, as it represents her growth and healing following her highly publicized split from fellow country artist Morgan Evans. “I’m excited. I mean, this is our first big performance of it — other than being on tour — and it just feels like a performance that I can show up, being nominated for Entertainer of the Year, and feel like I’m delivering something that is maybe worthy of that nomination,” she expressed.
