Kelly Osbourne has shared that her mother, Sharon Osbourne, will be taking charge of the planning for her wedding, as Kelly admitted she wants “nothing to do with it.” The singer announced her engagement to Sid Wilson, DJ for Slipknot, who proposed on July 6 at her father’s farewell concert, presenting her with an 18K yellow gold ring adorned with white and yellow diamonds.
Despite appearing excited about the engagement, Kelly revealed in an interview with Closer Magazine that she prefers a simple wedding setting, joking that if left to her, they would get married at a registry office and then head to a pub. However, she has decided to let Sharon handle all the details, including the choice of a destination wedding to ensure that only genuine friends and family are in attendance.
Though Kelly has expressed that marriage isn’t highly important to her, she recognizes it matters to Sid. She noted, “I found my guy. We don’t need the certificate. But I know Sid really wants to get married, so we will get married.” The couple, who welcomed their son Sidney in November 2023, are also contemplating expanding their family in the future.
In discussing their future plans, Kelly mentioned the possibility of moving back to the UK, aligning with her parents’ recent return after living in the U.S. for many years. She indicated a preference for the UK’s school system, which she finds appealing due to its structure, including uniforms.
Kelly has also been candid about her health and fitness journey, sharing that she lost 85 pounds postpartum by cutting sugar and carbohydrates from her diet. Although she has faced speculation regarding cosmetic procedures, she insists she has only undergone Botox and is hesitant about surgery, citing her mother’s experiences with recovery as a deterrent.
This new chapter in Kelly’s life showcases her evolving priorities while still embracing family values and the beauty of love. Her openness about personal challenges and the desire to create a loving environment for her child reflects a hopeful outlook on her family’s future.
