Travis Kelce’s representatives are dismissing rumors suggesting that the Kansas City Chiefs tight end and Taylor Swift have a breakup contract in place. Reports of a media plan for the couple in case of a split recently surfaced online, purportedly printed with the logo of Full Scope, the public relations agency representing Kelce. However, TODAY.com has not verified the authenticity of these documents.
In response to the speculation surrounding the alleged breakup plan, Kelce’s team stated that the documents are “false and fabricated.” A spokesperson from Full Scope expressed on September 4, “These documents are entirely false and fabricated and were not created, issued, or authorized by this agency. We have engaged our legal team to take action against those responsible for this illegal and damaging forgery.”
Kelce and Swift began dating in the summer of 2023. Their relationship gained public attention when Swift attended her first Chiefs game to support Kelce on September 24, 2023. Kelce has shared details about their relationship, including how he was drawn to Swift due to her authenticity. During an episode of the “Bussin’ With The Boys” podcast in June, he described her as “very self-aware” and praised her ability to maintain a calm demeanor despite being in the public eye.
In a recent interview on “The Rich Eisen Show,” Kelce recounted a fun moment performing with Swift on stage during her “Eras Tour.” He referred to her as “Tay Tay” and joked about her helping him devise game strategies. “She is a little biased and creates plays just for me, so we’ll see if they can make it to Coach Reid’s office,” he quipped.
Swift has attended multiple Chiefs games, and fans are eagerly anticipating her presence at the team’s home game on September 5. She has also made headlines by altering the lyrics of her song “Karma” to mention “the guy on the Chiefs,” and spoke about their support for each other when she was named Time’s 2023 Person of the Year.
Swift explained the nature of their public relationship, emphasizing that it means showing up for one another without concern for outside opinions. She reflected on having a private period before their relationship became known, stating with gratitude, “We actually had a significant amount of time that no one knew, which I’m grateful for, because we got to get to know each other.” She clarified, “By the time I went to that first game, we were a couple. I think some people think that they saw our first date at that game? We would never be psychotic enough to hard-launch a first date.”
