Katherine LaNasa and Grant Show recently shared insights into their nearly 14-year marriage during an exclusive conversation with PEOPLE at the Baby2Baby Gala. The couple, who first met while filming the HBO series Big Love in 2006, emphasized their lighthearted approach to maintaining a strong relationship. LaNasa, 59, humorously declared, “Our key to staying married? … Not getting divorced,” which Show, 63, echoed by adding, “Not breaking up.”
Their journey together began as friends, bonding over casual outings like bowling. It took Show eight months of friendship before he mustered the courage to ask LaNasa out. They got engaged in July 2012 and married a month later at The Oak Grove in Topanga, California.
The couple, who shares an 11-year-old daughter named Eloise, often refer to each other as best friends. Show expressed how important it is for them to enjoy each other’s company, stating, “We just do things together all of the time.” He noted that they often engage in each other’s interests, with LaNasa accompanying him for golfing while he joins her for shopping, showcasing their mutual support and understanding.
Despite their busy careers, both prioritize spending quality time together. Show mentioned their commitment to seeing each other frequently, declaring, “We’ve made sure that we get together in the same city and in the same bed at least once every 10 days.”
LaNasa marked their 13th wedding anniversary this year with a heartfelt tribute on Instagram, sharing cherished black-and-white images of their moments together. She expressed her love with a touching caption: “Great year baby. Love you to pieces. Happy 13. 🤍.”
Their enduring affection and the fun approach they take to their marriage serve as a reminder that commitment, friendship, and shared experiences can create a lasting bond. LaNasa and Show continue to inspire others with their joyful partnership.
