Kate Middleton, the Princess of Wales, is gradually resuming her official royal duties. Recently, she appeared at the men’s finals of the 2024 Wimbledon Championships, where she is a patron of the All England Tennis and Croquet Club. She wore a purple dress from the British brand Safiyaa and gold hoop earrings from By Pariah.
Middleton first wore a Safiyaa dress in November last year at the Royal Variety Performance 2023 held at the Royal Albert Hall in London. Meghan Markle also donned a red Safiyaa dress in 2020 as part of her farewell wardrobe. The brand is popular among celebrities like Gigi Hadid, Kylie Jenner, Rebel Wilson, and Viola Davis.
Her initial public appearance this year was at Trooping the Colour in June, with her previous public sighting on Christmas Day in 2023. In June, Middleton announced on social media her slow return to royal duties while undergoing treatment for a cancer diagnosis. She expressed gratitude for the support received and updated the public on her health.
“I have been blown away by all the kind messages of support and encouragement over the last couple of months. It really has made the world of difference to William and me and has helped us both through some of the harder times,” she said.
The statement included a photograph by Matt Porteous, capturing her in dark blue jeans, a white shirt, and a taupe blazer standing by a large tree, looking skyward.
Middleton has served as the patron of the All England Club since 2016, distributing the winner’s trophy after the men’s and women’s singles finals. She is a regular attendee at matches, supporting young talent and interacting with star players like Roger Federer in the royal box on center court.
Last year, at the women’s finals, she wore a pastel midi dress from Self-Portrait, featuring a short sleeve blazer-inspired bouclé bodice and a pleated chiffon skirt. For the men’s finals, she chose an emerald midi dress by Roland Mouret.
