The first trailer for “Karate Kid: Legends” has been released, showcasing the exciting collaboration of two iconic senseis from the franchise’s history. Ralph Macchio, known for his role as Daniel LaRusso in the original film series and its Netflix revival “Cobra Kai,” joins forces with Jackie Chan, who portrayed the karate instructor Mr. Han in the 2010 remake.

Directed by Jonathan Entwistle, “Legends” features Ben Wang in the role of a young karate student, alongside a talented cast that includes Joshua Jackson, Sadie Stanley, Ming-Na Wen, Aramis Knight, and Wyatt Oleff. Rob Lieber penned the screenplay.

The Karate Kid franchise originally debuted in 1984, resonating with audiences through the story of Daniel LaRusso, played by Macchio, who overcomes adversity with the guidance of his mentor, Mr. Miyagi (portrayed by Pat Morita). This beloved franchise has expanded over the years, with sequels and a fourth installment featuring Hilary Swank.
