The event commenced with a solemn ceremony of laying flowers at the memorial dedicated to police officers who lost their lives in the line of duty, ensuring the safety of residents in the Karaganda region. The leadership of the regional police department, veterans, and personnel paid tribute to these heroes with a moment of silence.

Nygmet Ismagulov, the head of the Karaganda regional police department, took the opportunity to congratulate the veterans on their special day, expressing deep gratitude for their invaluable contributions to the region’s safety and for mentoring the younger generation. In recognition of their service, certificates of appreciation were presented to the veterans.

The Karaganda region is home to around 5,000 police veterans, many of whom served in the 1970s, 80s, and 90s. A significant portion of these veterans continues to support young professionals by sharing their experience and knowledge.

The celebration further included a concert featuring active police personnel, cadets from the B. Beisenov Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and retired police colonel and veteran Zhanatay Sembekov. The highlight of the concert was the performance of the police anthem “Aibyndy Saksylary” by the “Saryarka” band along with Zhanatay Sembekov.

This gathering not only honored the sacrifices made by past and present officers but also reinforced the strong bond between veterans and the police force, showcasing a commitment to instilling values of service and dedication in future generations.
