Kalitta Aims for Glory at NHRA Northwest Nationals!

Doug Kalitta topped the NHRA Northwest Nationals, securing the No. 1 qualifying position in the Top Fuel category with an impressive time of 3.671 seconds at 335.90 mph. This achievement marks Kalitta’s sixth No. 1 qualifying spot of the 2025 NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series season and the 64th of his career, signaling a strong performance as he seeks his first season win.

Kalitta expressed optimism about the upcoming race day, emphasizing the importance of seizing opportunities. “Tomorrow, obviously, is another opportunity for a first season win; just hoping to go rounds,” he stated. He acknowledged that reaching the finals has been a challenge and is eager to leverage the momentum gained in qualifying as they approach the critical races leading up to the U.S. Nationals in Indianapolis.

In the Funny Car division, Austin Prock qualified at the top of the pack, while Dallas Glenn achieved the top spot in Pro Stock. Meanwhile, John Hall led the Pro Stock Motorcycle category. Additionally, Shawn Langdon, who secured victory in Saturday’s #2FAST2TASTY challenge, qualified second overall in his category, clocking in at 3.689 seconds, while Brittany Force captured third place with a recorded speed of 340.47 mph, setting a new track record.
