Kaiser Permanente has expressed enthusiasm over being honored with the Wrigley Legacy Award for their 2025 Rose Parade float, which embodies their mission of enhancing the health of their members and the communities they serve. Greg A. Adams, the chairman and CEO, emphasized that the float represents Kaiser Permanente’s commitment not just to clinical excellence, but also to holistic well-being, covering physical, mental, and social health aspects.

The design of Kaiser Permanente’s float is a stunning display featuring a sun adorned with yellow strawflower, white rice, and gold clover seeds, highlighted with yellow button mums crafted into star shapes. A vibrant rainbow of carnations extends across the float, which also showcases a tranquil moon at its tail, surrounded by stars and designed with various floral elements. Crafted by Phoenix Decorating Company, the float boasts impressive dimensions of 28 feet in height, 18 feet in width, and 55 feet in length.

During the parade, eleven members and care providers from Kaiser Permanente rode on the float, accompanied by nine Special Olympics Southern California athletes, coaches, guardians, and volunteers walking alongside—showcasing a shared dedication to diversity, equity, and inclusion. This partnership reflects the float’s overarching theme, emphasizing the significance of inclusivity, movement, and connection for fostering lifelong health and wellness.

Kaiser Permanente has a history of recognition for its previous float entries, having won several prestigious awards at the Rose Parade, including the President Award and the Theme Award. Their track record highlights a sustained commitment to excellence in float design and floral presentation.

The 2025 Rose Parade, taking place on January 1, will continue the illustrious tradition of celebrating community spirit and diversity. This year’s theme, “Best Day Ever!”, aims to bring joy and positivity to viewers, showcasing the efforts of numerous volunteers dedicated to this hallmark event.

As we look forward to the Rose Parade, it serves as a reminder of the power of community involvement and the artistry that brings people together in celebration. The collaborative spirit of organizations like Kaiser Permanente and the Special Olympics reflects a hopeful vision for a healthier, more inclusive future.
