Kaiser Permanente is proud to announce that it has received the esteemed Wrigley Legacy Award for its entry in the upcoming 2025 Rose Parade. This recognition reflects the essence of the organization’s mission: to enhance the health of its members and the communities it serves. Greg A. Adams, chair and chief executive officer of Kaiser Permanente, emphasized that the company’s approach to integrated care not only focuses on outstanding clinical services but also encompasses the overall physical, mental, and social well-being of its members.
The design of the 2025 float is visually striking, featuring a stunning sun adorned with yellow strawflower, white rice, and gold clover seeds, alongside yellow button mums arranged as stars. A striking rainbow made of carnations runs across the float, culminating in a calm moon at the rear, crafted from white rice, gray lettuce seed, and white button mums, surrounded by twinkling stars. Measuring 28 feet tall, 18 feet wide, and 55 feet long, this vibrant float is a true feast for the eyes, showcasing a diverse array of floral arrangements, fruits, and vegetables. It was expertly designed and constructed by Phoenix Decorating Company.
During the parade, eleven Kaiser Permanente members and care providers will proudly ride on the float, accompanied by nine athletes, coaches, guardians, and volunteers from Special Olympics Southern California. Kaiser Permanente has been a supportive partner to SOSC for over a decade, promoting mutual values of diversity, equity, and inclusion. The theme of the float underscores the importance of connection, movement, and inclusivity as vital components of lifelong health and wellness.
Kaiser Permanente has a history of impressive float entries, earning numerous accolades over the years, including the President Award in 2024 and the Grand Marshal’s Trophy in 2016. Their commitment to innovative and beautiful float designs has consistently set them apart and garnered recognition in the Rose Parade.
