Kaiser Permanente Shines Bright with Award-Winning Float at 2025 Rose Parade

Kaiser Permanente has expressed its enthusiasm in receiving the prestigious Wrigley Legacy Award for its float at the upcoming 2025 Rose Parade. Greg A. Adams, the chair and CEO of Kaiser Permanente, highlighted that the float embodies the organization’s mission to enhance the health of both its members and the wider community. He emphasized that Kaiser Permanente’s integrated care model not only focuses on exceptional clinical service but also on the overall well-being of individuals, addressing physical, mental, and social health.

The float for 2025 is a stunning creation boasting a vibrant design. With a sun crafted from yellow strawflower, white rice, and gold clover seeds, and bright yellow button mums shaped like stars, the float promises a visual feast. A colorful rainbow of carnations spans the float, culminating in a tranquil moon adorned with white rice, gray lettuce seed, and white button mums, all set against a backdrop of stars. Designed by the Phoenix Decorating Company, this impressive float measures 28 feet in height, 18 feet in width, and 55 feet in length.

During the parade, the float will feature eleven Kaiser Permanente members and care providers, alongside nine athletes, coaches, guardians, and volunteers from Special Olympics Southern California (SOSC). Kaiser Permanente has been a long-time supporter of SOSC, sharing values centered around diversity, equity, and inclusion. This partnership not only represents the theme of the float but also underscores the importance of inclusivity and connectivity in fostering lifelong health.

Kaiser Permanente has a history of recognition at the Rose Parade, with numerous awards received in previous years, including the President’s Award for the most outstanding use and presentation of flowers in 2024 and the Theme Award in 2022. Their commitment to excellence is further highlighted by their consistent awards for float design, artistic merit, and overall presentation.

As anticipation builds for the 2025 Rose Parade, Kaiser Permanente’s float presents a hopeful message promoting health and well-being for all. The event, titled “Best Day Ever!”, will take place on January 1, 2025, demonstrating the positive impact of community celebration and connection.
