The Aurora Police Department apprehended two juveniles on Sunday morning after they allegedly robbed a Circle K convenience store shortly after 9 a.m. The robbery at the store, located at 1110 S. Buckley Road, involved two armed suspects who fled the scene in a black sedan.

Responding quickly to the report, police officers located the sedan traveling southbound on E-470. The vehicle exited at Quincy Avenue and made several turns onto Gun Club Road and Aurora Parkway before stopping on Biloxy Way. Once the sedan came to a halt, both suspects attempted to flee on foot. Officers managed to capture one suspect almost immediately, discovering a gun with an extended magazine in the process. The second suspect, who ran in a different direction, was apprehended shortly thereafter.

Both suspects were identified as juvenile males. One of the individuals suffered a leg injury during the incident and was taken to the hospital for treatment. The police continue to remain at the scene as investigators assess the sedan involved in the robbery.

This incident has highlighted the ongoing challenges police face in addressing juvenile crime while maintaining community safety. It serves as a reminder of the importance of vigilance and community cooperation in reporting suspicious activities. Hopefully, this can also spark discussions about preventive measures and interventions to assist youth in making better choices.
