Justin Jefferson Pranks Vikings GM in Disguise on The Undercovers

Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson lightened the atmosphere during training camp with a playful prank on general manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah, recently shared on social media. The entertaining moment unfolded as part of Eli Manning’s “The Undercovers” segment on Amazon Prime Video, where Jefferson disguised himself as a photographer named Darius Frost during a mock photo shoot at the TCO Performance Center.

In the humorous exchange, Adofo-Mensah, donned in a shirt and tie (paired with athletic shorts for the photo), engages in playful banter with Jefferson’s character. The interaction included notable lines such as Jefferson’s quip about Minnesota’s state bird being the common loon and his cheeky comment on Adofo-Mensah’s role in the organization, where he jokingly suggested that “GM” stands for “Great Man.”

The comedy escalated as Jefferson encouraged Adofo-Mensah to strike a Viking pose, leading to laughter as he stated his admiration for Justin Jefferson himself, causing Adofo-Mensah to appreciate the humor and acknowledge his high-value contract. Eventually, Adofo-Mensah recognized he had been pranked when Jefferson, still in character, tried to get a picture of the star receiver, asking if he knew where Jefferson was at that moment.

Reflecting on the experience after practice, Jefferson expressed his enjoyment of the prank, stating, “That was really fun, just dressing up in disguise and being put into character. Shout out to Kwesi for just going along with it. He definitely didn’t know who I was or what was going on; definitely got him good.”

Over the course of his NFL career, Jefferson has proven to be a significant asset for the Vikings. Drafted as the 22nd overall pick in 2020, he has achieved remarkable statistics with 524 catches for 7,881 receiving yards and 41 touchdowns in just over five seasons. His impressive performance led to a four-year, $140 million contract extension prior to the 2024 mini-camp, securing his status as one of the franchise’s top receivers while showcasing his budding comedic talent.

By bringing a sense of humor to the training camp environment, Jefferson not only entertained his teammates but also highlighted the camaraderie within the Vikings organization.
