An East Liverpool man has been sentenced to 25 years in prison after being convicted of repeatedly sexually assaulting a child over a two-year span. Joseph A. Goss, 41, received the sentence in Columbiana County Common Pleas Court without offering any remarks when given the chance to speak.
Columbiana County Assistant Prosecutor Tammie Riley Jones read a statement from the victim, who expressed the lasting impact of Goss’s actions, saying they left “deep scars” that she will carry forever. Goss was charged with two counts of rape, classified as first-degree felonies, and one count of gross sexual imposition, a third-degree felony. These charges stemmed from incidents that occurred between January 2022 and March 2024.
