Justice Haynes, who was a standout running back for the University of Michigan in 2025, has announced his commitment to Georgia Tech following his transfer from Alabama. During his season at Michigan, Haynes showcased his talent by accumulating 857 rushing yards on 121 carries, averaging an impressive 7.1 yards per carry, along with scoring 10 touchdowns over just seven games before a foot injury sidelined him for the remainder of the season.

Haynes’ injury occurred during a matchup against Michigan State, where he broke his foot, leading to surgical intervention. This unfortunate setback kept him from participating in the Cheez-It Citrus Bowl against Texas, where he supported his team from the sidelines.

In his brief time at Michigan, Haynes proved to be a game-changing player, finishing tied for third in the nation with four runs of 50 yards or more, including two remarkable touchdown runs that exceeded 70 yards. Despite battling injuries that hindered his season—particularly a midsection issue that caused him to miss the following game against Washington—Haynes consistently demonstrated his capability, rushing for over 100 yards and scoring at least once in six contests.

As Michigan prepares for the 2026 season, they will shift their focus to Jordan Marshall, who is set to lead the backfield. Additionally, the Wolverines will welcome Oklahoma transfer Taylor Tatum and the nation’s top incoming freshman running back, Savion Hiter, who are anticipated to compete for the backup running back position. Haynes’ future at Georgia Tech holds promise as he transitions to a new program, and fans will undoubtedly be looking forward to seeing what he achieves in the next chapter of his career.
