Millie Bobby Brown and Gabriel LaBelle are set to star in “Just Picture It,” a romantic comedy that will premiere on Netflix. The film follows two college students whose lives take an unexpected turn when their phones start glitching, revealing images of their future together as a married couple with children—despite the fact that they have not yet met.
The project will be directed by Lee Toland Krieger, known for his work on “The Age of Adaline,” with a screenplay penned by Jesse Lasky, a former writer for “The Late Show With David Letterman.” Brown is deeply involved in the project as a producer and has been integral to its development. Her husband, Jake Bongiovi, will serve as an executive producer.
At just 21, Brown has become a household name thanks to her role in Netflix’s “Stranger Things,” with the show’s fifth and final season set to debut in November. Additionally, she has worked on the “Enola Holmes” franchise and is in the process of adapting her debut novel, “Nineteen Things,” into a feature film. LaBelle, who is 22, gained recognition for his performance in “The Fabelmans” and played Lorne Michaels in “Saturday Night,” further establishing himself in the industry.
“Just Picture It” is being produced by Joe Roth and Jeff Kirschenbaum for RK Films along with Robert Brown for PCMA Productions. The team also includes executive producers Alyssa Altman, Isobel Roberts, and David Kern.
This film presents an intriguing exploration of fate and relationships, playing on the concept of how technology can influence our perceptions of love and destiny in our lives. It promises to blend humor with heartfelt moments, making it something to look forward to in the romantic comedy genre.
