PlayStation Plus subscribers have a treat in store with the addition of the refined Cyberpunk 2077 now part of Sony’s Game Catalog. Following the game’s problematic launch in 2020, it has undergone significant updates, transforming it into a worthy experience. Players can now explore the richly crafted dystopian world of Night City as the mercenary V, safely equipped without the earlier bugs that marred its initial release.
In addition to Cyberpunk 2077, which is available to Premium and Extra members, the July offerings include the highly anticipated indie title Abiotic Factor. This game draws inspiration from the classic Half-Life series, immersing players in a network of underground labs filled with supernatural occurrences. The unique formatting allows players to craft weapons from everyday items and venture into comedic elements such as managing bathroom breaks while tackling various monsters. The game arrives on July 22 after successful early access feedback.
Also joining the lineup is Tropico 6, where you can embody El Presidente and manage your banana republic. Additional titles set to be released include Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden, Risk of Rain 2, and Planet Zoo, with classics Twisted Metal 3 and 4 offered to Premium members on July 15.
This month’s game releases reflect an exciting mix of polished experiences and whimsical gameplay, providing something for every type of gamer. The continued support for Cyberpunk 2077 showcases how developers can correct their courses and deliver enjoyable content, and there is optimism for the future sequels that are now in pre-production. PlayStation Plus members have much to look forward to this month as the gaming landscape continues to evolve and improve.
