Juliana Aidén Martinez is set to join the cast of CBS’s “FBI” in its upcoming eighth season, following her departure from “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit,” where she portrayed detective Kate Silva. The specifics of her character in “FBI” are yet to be disclosed.

Martinez’s exit from “SVU” was coincident with the announcement of fellow cast member Octavio Pisano’s departure, who played detective Joe Velasco. Despite leaving, Martinez expressed her admiration for Mariska Hargitay, the star of “SVU,” sharing a heartfelt message on Instagram about her gratitude and promoting Hargitay’s documentary “My Mom Jayne.”

In related developments, “FBI” is experiencing cast changes with Emily Alabi, who played Dani Rhodes, also exiting the show. She will return for the eighth season solely to conclude her character’s storyline. This transition opens up possibilities for Martinez to step into the role of a new partner for John Boyd’s character, Stuart Scola, as the show has been trying to fill this position since several previous partners have come and gone.

“FBI” features a strong ensemble cast, including Missy Peregrym, Zeeko Zaki, Jeremy Sisto, and Alana de la Garza, but as of now, a premiere date for season 8 has not been announced. The series continues to be popular, streaming on Paramount+.

With Martinez’s addition, fans can look forward to fresh dynamics in the series and intriguing new plot developments.
