Judge’s Historic 51: Yankees Star Joins Elite Home Run Club

Aaron Judge belted his 50th and 51st home runs of the season, leading the New York Yankees to a 10-3 win against the Colorado Rockies on Sunday. With this achievement, Judge became the fifth player in history to reach 50 home runs at least three times, joining legends like Babe Ruth, Mark McGwire, Sammy Sosa, and Alex Rodriguez.

Judge’s 50th homer came after Gleyber Torres drew a walk to open the bottom of the first. He connected on an 0-2 changeup from Rockies starter Austin Gomber, driving the ball into the bullpen past the left-center-field fence, putting the Yankees up 2-1. His 51st home run occurred in the seventh inning when he sent a first-pitch fastball from reliever Jeff Criswell into the right field stands.
