Samaritan North Lincoln Hospital marked a joyful beginning to the new year on January 4 with the birth of its first baby, Waylon Kenneth Mann, arriving at 11:29 p.m. Proud parents Ali and Nate Mann from Lincoln City welcomed their son, who weighed 7 pounds, 14.3 ounces and measured 20 inches at birth.
The couple chose the name Waylon as a tribute to beloved country singer Waylon Jennings, whom Nate admires. They appreciated the cowboy vibe of the name. The middle name, Kenneth, honors Nate’s father, whom Ali described as a remarkable individual they hold dearly in their hearts.
The Mann family is relatively new to Lincoln City, having lived there for just about a year after relocating from Northern California. They are settling into their new life, filled with excitement and love as they embrace being parents for the first time. As they watched their peaceful baby swaddled in a blanket, they noted that he bears a striking resemblance to his father.
In addition to the emotional support of their community, the new parents were greeted with a thoughtful gift basket full of baby essentials and toys, prepared by the Samaritan North Lincoln Hospital Auxiliary, making this special occasion even more memorable.
The arrival of Waylon Kenneth Mann not only brings joy to the Mann family but also to the community, showcasing the warmth and care that residents of Lincoln City offer to newcomers. This story of new beginnings is a heartwarming reminder of the hope and love that accompanies every newborn, bringing families and communities together.
