The 2025 Bags for the Brave donation drive is an important initiative supporting military families in San Diego, where over 115,000 active-duty service members reside. Given the high cost of living in the area, many young enlisted families find it challenging to get by. To address this issue, Navy Federal Credit Union, in partnership with the nonprofit organization Support The Enlisted Project (STEP), is encouraging community participation in this drive.
From now until the end of May 2025, residents are invited to donate personal care items at any of Navy Federal’s 27 branch locations across San Diego County. Contributions can include essential toiletries and home goods like diapers, deodorant, shampoo, laundry detergent, toothpaste, and more. The designated red donation boxes at the branches will ensure that all items collected directly support military personnel, families, and veterans based in the region.
