Jimbo Fisher Takes on a New Challenge: Joining ACC Network as Analyst!

Jimbo Fisher, the former head coach of Texas A&M and Florida State, is stepping into a new role as a television analyst for the ACC Network and ESPN this upcoming college football season. Following his exit from Texas A&M midway through 2023, Fisher will lend his expertise as a studio analyst, contributing to a new weekly pre-game show entitled “ACC Huddle.” This show, which takes inspiration from the SEC Network’s “SEC Nation,” will air from the sites of the biggest games in the Atlantic Coast Conference.

Joining Fisher on “ACC Huddle” will be host Taylor Tannenbaum, along with former Clemson offensive lineman Eric Mac Lain and ex-Virginia Tech wide receiver Eddie Royal. Additionally, former Florida State and NFL quarterback EJ Manuel will also participate in ESPN’s college football programming, making occasional appearances on the ACC Network.

Fisher expressed enthusiasm about his new venture, stating, “I’m looking forward to joining ACC Network and the Huddle this season. I’ve always had tremendous respect for this conference and I’m looking forward to breaking down the action each week with such a talented group.”

Before his time at Texas A&M, Fisher made a significant mark at Florida State, leading the Seminoles to a stellar undefeated season and a BCS national championship in 2013. His coaching career also spans significant positions at LSU, Auburn, and Samford, where he played quarterback in the late 1980s.

Fisher’s transition from coaching to broadcasting is a promising development that should engage college football fans and provide insightful analysis throughout the season. His extensive experience and deep understanding of the game make him a valuable addition to the ACC Network.
