WWE RAW Superstar Je’Von Evans has attributed much of his success to the influential coaching he received during his stint in NXT. In a recent appearance on Busted Open Radio, Evans named four legends—Terry Taylor, Shawn Michaels, Matt Bloom, and Fit Finlay—as the coaches who played significant roles in shaping his wrestling career.

Evans expressed high regard for Taylor, noting his straightforward and honest approach as essential to his development. “I didn’t want anybody telling me I was doing good when I was horrible,” Evans stated, emphasizing his appreciation for Taylor’s candid feedback. He also acknowledged the impact of Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels and trainer Matt Bloom, while highlighting Fit Finlay’s contributions to his understanding of grit and intensity in the ring. “He taught me how to really have that grit and not just stick to having fun and doing flips,” he explained.

Recently, Evans qualified for the 2026 men’s Elimination Chamber match, setting the stage for an exciting performance at the upcoming Premium Live Event this Saturday. His participation could lead him to set a unique record, further solidifying his status in the WWE.

However, Evans’ journey has not been without its challenges. In a discussion on Club Shay Shay, former WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins revealed that Evans suffered a concussion during a match against El Grande Americano on the January 19 episode of RAW. Although the match was called off when the referee assessed Evans’ condition, Rollins reflected on the often unpredictable nature of professional wrestling and the importance of communication during a match to ensure the safety of the athletes involved.

Despite the setbacks, Evans’ resilience on and off the ring continues to inspire his fans and peers alike as he looks towards the future. His successes and challenges serve as reminders of the dedication required in the world of professional wrestling, making his journey one to watch closely.
