Fiji Rugby 7s icon Jerry Tuwai has been appointed as the official Tournament Ambassador for the 2026 McDonald’s Coral Coast Fiji 7s. A distinguished two-time Olympic gold medalist and former World Rugby Sevens Player of the Year, Tuwai is set to fulfill dual roles during the event, acting as both ambassador and captain for the McDonald’s Mike Friday Select 7s team.
In addition to these roles, Tuwai will be honored with an induction into the esteemed RugbyTown Walk of Fame. Tournament Founding Chairman Jay Whyte emphasized Tuwai’s significance to the event, stating, “Jerry Tuwai is truly the embodiment of excellence in the game of rugby.
