Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck have reportedly ended their marriage just over two years after their highly publicized wedding. Lopez filed for divorce on Tuesday in Los Angeles County Superior Court, as confirmed by court documents. A close source revealed that the couple did not have a prenuptial agreement.

Lopez and Affleck, who had a storied romantic history, married in July 2022 after rekindling their relationship in 2021. They previously were engaged in the early 2000s but broke up before tying the knot, leading to a 17-year separation.
Lopez was previously married to singer Marc Anthony from 2004 to 2014, with whom she shares two children, and was engaged to sports star Alex Rodriguez before their breakup in 2021. In total, she has had four marriages.
During the time of their separation, Affleck was married to actress Jennifer Garner from 2005 until their divorce in 2018 and the couple has three children together.
Lopez and Affleck first met while filming “Gigli” in 2002, and by November of that year, they were engaged. However, their engagement ended in 2004. Following her split from Rodriguez, Lopez was frequently seen with Affleck, which sparked renewed speculation about their relationship.
In April 2022, Lopez announced their engagement once again, two decades after their initial proposal. They exchanged vows on July 16, 2022, in a Las Vegas ceremony, as per records from Clark County, Nevada.
On the night of their wedding, they arrived at the chapel shortly before midnight, sharing the venue with a few other couples. Lopez’s fan newsletter detailed their experience and quoted them expressing fulfillment in their wedding, describing it as the best they could have imagined.
However, since May, there have been ongoing rumors regarding the stability of their marriage, with reports indicating that they hadn’t been seen together recently and that Affleck had moved out of their shared residence, which is now listed for sale.
