The interior design of Jennifer Garner’s home emphasizes a serene, neutral color scheme paired with natural textures. Brooke, the designer, notes Garner’s love for vintage items, showcasing a French farmhouse table from the 1850s in the dining area, alongside midcentury decor sourced from Swedish and Danish designers. The design reflects Garner’s whimsical personality and preference for gentle curves and softer shapes.

The kitchen stands out as one of the most inviting spaces, featuring honed marble and soapstone countertops, rounded breakfast chairs covered in mohair, and a welcoming fireplace. It provides direct access to the swimming pool, embodying a warm and cozy atmosphere. Steve, another designer, remarks that Garner prefers a subtle aesthetic, favoring tranquility over bold colors.

Garner also wanted to design areas that foster family memories. Brooke explains that Garner envisioned how her family would use each room, resulting in distinctive spaces like a comfortable blue study and an upstairs reading nook adorned with stained-glass windows. These windows, created by artist Reed Bradley, are inspired by illustrations from his mother Marla Frazee’s children’s book, All the World, and depict owls that symbolize Garner’s children and their dog, Birdie.

The outdoor spaces, developed in collaboration with landscape designer Christine London, are designed for frequent use. A kitchen garden offers fresh produce, while the pool and firepit areas serve as perfect spots for gatherings and relaxed entertaining. Garner reflects on her upbringing in West Virginia, emphasizing the joy of eating homegrown food.

Both designers recognize that Garner’s home will continue to evolve as her family grows. Brooke believes that homes are never truly finished and that the space will change as the children age. Garner expresses satisfaction with how well the space is utilized, noting that her kids feel comfortable throughout the house, whether in the living room or doing homework in the dining room—something she views as ideal.

In a recent feature, Garner is pictured engaging with her dogs, Bugsy, a yellow Labrador, and Birdie, a golden retriever, while dressed stylishly in Lafayette 148, CO, Tiffany & Co., and Cartier. The design of Garner’s home is showcased in the October issue of Architectural Digest.
