The interior design of Jennifer Garner’s home emphasizes a serene, neutral color scheme complemented by natural textures. Designer Brooke revealed that Garner has a passion for vintage decor, having introduced a French farmhouse table from the 1850s and various midcentury pieces from Scandinavian designers into the dining area. Brooke described the aesthetics as reflective of Garner’s whimsical personality, incorporating gentle shapes and curves throughout the space.
The kitchen stands out as one of the most inviting areas, adorned with honed marble and soapstone countertops, cushioned chairs, and a fireplace, all of which open directly to the swimming pool. Designer Steve noted that Garner prefers a soft and cozy environment rather than a flashy one, resulting in a calming atmosphere within her home.
Garner also requested spaces that foster family memories. This led to unique areas such as a cozy blue study and a reading nook upstairs featuring stained-glass windows designed by Reed Bradley, inspired by illustrations from the family-favorite children’s book “All the World” by Marla Frazee. The windows depict owls representing Garner’s children and their dog, Birdie.
The outdoor spaces, designed with landscape designer Christine London, boast a functional kitchen garden, a pool, and a fire pit area, perfect for casual gatherings. Garner reflected on her childhood in West Virginia, noting how fresh produce picked straight from the garden enhances the flavor, saying, “If you pick something right off a vine, you’re so much more likely to like it. It’s like you can taste the sunshine.”
Recognizing that Garner truly inhabits her home, Steve and Brooke understand that it will continue to evolve with the family’s changing needs. Brooke observed, “I don’t think homes are ever finished. This is one moment in time in their life.” Garner expressed satisfaction, stating, “I am happy that I feel like we use the space really well… they’re as comfortable sitting in the living room as they are doing homework in the dining room. And that’s the dream, right?”
The home is also featured in AD’s October issue, showcasing Garner’s style and the designers’ thoughtful approach to her living spaces.
