In a recent conversation, Morgan reflected on his experiences during the pandemic, mentioning the interview series “Friday Night In With The Morgans,” which he hosted with his wife, Hilarie Burton. He pointed out that this new venture is quite different, saying that his previous show was more akin to casual Zoom interviews filmed at their upstate New York farm.
“Destination X” will take contestants on thrilling worldwide adventures, though the locations will remain a mystery to them until they complete a series of challenges to uncover where they are. The competition also promises a hefty prize of $250,000 for the winner.
Despite some initial hesitation about stepping into the hosting role, Morgan found encouragement from his wife, who suggested that this could be a fun way for him to express his personality. He humorously noted that he doesn’t see himself as a typical host and has his own unique style, saying, “I’m a little bit crass. I’m a little bit maybe too edgy for NBC and Peacock.”
Morgan and Burton, who married in 2019 and have been together since 2009, focus on maintaining a low profile while raising their two children, Gus and George. They cherish their family-oriented lifestyle and recently experienced a milestone when their family attended a red carpet event together for the first time during the Canneseries Festival, celebrating the second season of “The Walking Dead: Dead City.”
