KAPOLEI – Jason Momoa, the Honolulu-born star actor, expressed his excitement for his latest film, “The Wrecking Crew,” which was filmed in Hawaii. During a recent press tour in London, where he attended the film’s premiere alongside co-star Dave Bautista and his girlfriend Adria Arjona, Momoa revealed just how much he enjoys the movie.

“It’s definitely up there as one of the funnest films I’ve ever made in my life. And I had the time of my life, and I think I don’t watch the premieres over and over. I’ve seen this movie five times now, and I’m still laughing,” Momoa shared, highlighting his eagerness to watch it once more that evening. He even mentioned planning a private viewing for his children, who are disappointed that the film is not showing in theaters.

The invite-only premiere in Hawaii took place Monday night at Olino by Consolidated Theatres in Kapolei, drawing in many local residents who were part of the film. These included stand-ins and extras who played a range of characters, from businesspeople to individuals experiencing homelessness. One local cast member recounted their role as both a stand-in and a homeless character, while another expressed her nerves about filming a scene with Momoa, revealing how close she was to the star during filming.

“The Wrecking Crew” tells the story of estranged brothers who reconcile to solve the mystery surrounding their father’s murder. This action-comedy showcases various local locations in Hawaii, adding a sense of authenticity to the narrative. Although Momoa could not attend the screening in Kapolei, co-star Maia Kealoha, known for her role in “Lilo and Stitch,” was also absent from the event.

Fans looking to watch the film will be pleased to know it will be available for streaming on Prime Video starting Wednesday. With its blend of comedy and action, alongside a heartwarming story of family, “The Wrecking Crew” promises to be an enjoyable experience for audiences.
