Jana Duggar, known from TLC’s “Counting On” and “19 Kids and Counting,” has tied the knot. The 34-year-old daughter of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar married 31-year-old Stephen Wissmann in a ceremony held in Prairie Grove, Arkansas, which was attended by 500 guests.

The wedding occurred just two months after their engagement. Jana’s bridal party featured several of her sisters, including Jessa Duggar Seewald as the maid of honor, Joy-Anna Forsyth, Johannah Duggar, Jinger Duggar Vuolo, and Jordyn Duggar, along with sister-in-law Abbie Duggar. Jana was escorted down the aisle by her father, Jim Bob Duggar.

In a pre-wedding interview with People, Jana described the event as “a dream come true,” expressing the joy of celebrating with her large family.

The ceremony was held close to her childhood home in Tontitown, about thirty minutes away.

Stephen Wissmann, who is a Nebraska native and one of 13 siblings, works in irrigation system installation, sandblasting, and painting. After the wedding, Jana plans to relocate to Nebraska, where they are renovating a house they purchased together.

Jana and Stephen first met through their families over a decade ago. Jana recalled an occasion where the Wissmann family was snowed in at her home, leading to a night of games and puzzles. Although they briefly dated years later, they initially parted ways but remained in contact. Their relationship rekindled earlier this year, as they recognized their continued appreciation for each other.

The Duggar family has faced scrutiny and controversy, particularly related to the cancellation of “Counting On” following Josh Duggar’s conviction on child pornography charges, as well as historical allegations against him during his teenage years. The family’s portrayal was further complicated by the release of the docuseries “Shiny Happy People: Duggar Family Secrets,” which included accusations from Jill Duggar Dillard about the family’s conservative values and past actions. Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar criticized the documentary for its controversial depiction of their family.
