Jana Duggar has officially tied the knot!
The 34-year-old married Stephen Wissmann in a ceremony held on Thursday in Prairie Grove, Arkansas, according to reports. Surrounded by 500 guests, the couple exchanged vows in a “classic, elegant” setting at The Grand at Willow Springs.
Jana’s father, Jim Bob Duggar, walked her down the aisle to the hymn “Holy, Holy, Holy.” Her sisters participated in the wedding, with Jessa Duggar Seewald serving as the maid of honor. Joy-Anna Forsyth, Johannah Duggar, Jinger Duggar Vuolo, and Jordyn Duggar were also bridesmaids, alongside Jana’s sister-in-law, Abbie Duggar.
The news of their marriage follows reports that the couple obtained their marriage license in Arkansas just a day before their wedding. Duggar and Wissmann got engaged in June, with romance rumors surfacing in December 2020. Despite their connection, they opted to keep their relationship private and did not confirm their status on social media.
Sources reveal that the couple initially met through family ties, as Jana’s brother Jeremiah is married to Stephen’s sister, Hannah. Similar to Jana, Stephen hails from a large, faith-based family consisting of 13 children. He is known to be a businessman and a private pilot, as noted on his Instagram.
Engagement rumors began circulating last month when Jana shared several photos featuring a diamond ring on her finger. Though she attempted to conceal her left hand in some images, keen-eyed fans spotted the ring in one photo alongside her brother John and his wife, Abbie.
As the oldest daughter of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, Jana was often referred to as “Cinderella Duggar” for her delay in marriage, unlike many of her siblings who wed in their early 20s. In a previous interview, Jana expressed that while she desired marriage, she wasn’t overly concerned about finding “The One.”
“I long to be married… but I’m just trying to stay busy with whatever comes along my path,” she said, adding that despite any pressure she felt to marry, she aimed to enjoy her single years. Jana emphasized her hope to find a love as enduring as that of her parents, who have been married since 1984, noting their remarkable connection.
