Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase has been named a Pro Bowler once again, as announced by the NFL on Tuesday morning. This recognition marks the third consecutive year for Chase, making him only the second player in the franchise’s history—alongside former Bengal A.J. Green—to achieve Pro Bowl status every year of his first five seasons in the league.

Chase has made a significant impact this season, catching passes from three different quarterbacks and leading the NFL in targets for the second year in a row. As of Week 16, he has recorded 110 receptions for 1,256 yards and five touchdowns. However, he faces the possibility of finishing the season with a career-low in touchdowns if he doesn’t score in the upcoming games.

In the lead-up to the announcement, the NFL released fan voting results, where Chase emerged as the most popular choice among AFC wide receivers. He will be joined in the AFC’s wide receiver group by Houston’s Nico Collins, Baltimore’s Zay Flowers, and Denver’s Courtland Sutton.

In addition to Chase, three other Bengals have been named alternates for the Pro Bowl. Tee Higgins has been designated as a second alternate, while cornerback DJ Turner II and returner Charlie Jones have been named third and fifth alternates, respectively. These players will be called upon if any participants from the Pro Bowl Games cannot attend, including those headed to the Super Bowl or those suffering injuries.

The NFL has restructured the Pro Bowl into the Pro Bowl Games, a format that features skills competitions culminating in a flag football game, now scheduled during Super Bowl week. The next Pro Bowl will take place on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at San Francisco’s Moscone Center.

This ongoing recognition of Chase shows his resilience and talent within the league, offering excitement to Bengals fans as the team progresses through the season. The combination of talented players like Chase and Higgins keeps the Bengals competitive and entertaining, promising an engaging future for the franchise.
